A Principal. A Husband and Father. A Proven Conservative Voice for Minnesota.
I’m Ben Bakeberg, State Representative for District 54B, middle school principal, husband, father, and proud Minnesotan.
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked in education, helping students succeed and supporting families through life’s challenges and opportunities. Today, I am the only current school principal serving in Minnesota state government, bringing real-world experience from our schools and communities directly to the Capitol.
My decision to run for office came from what I witnessed as a principal. Every day, I saw how decisions made in St. Paul impact students, families, educators, and local businesses. I also saw growing division in our communities and believed Minnesota needed leaders focused on listening, problem-solving, and bringing people together.
Guided by faith, hard work, personal responsibility, and service to others, I stepped forward to serve. As your State Representative, I’ve worked to strengthen education, make life more affordable, and hold government accountable.
As your State Senator, I’ll continue fighting for strong families, strong communities, and strong schools while focusing on practical solutions that improve the lives of Minnesotans.
I’d be honored to earn your support and continue serving the community I call home.
Bringing a Different Perspective to St. Paul
Real-World Experience Matters
While many elected officials build careers in politics, Ben spends his days working directly with students, parents, teachers, and community members.
As the only current school principal serving in Minnesota government, he brings a unique perspective to discussions about education, public safety, economic growth, and the issues impacting Minnesota families.
When decisions are made at the Capitol, Ben understands how those decisions affect people back home because he works alongside them every day.
