Re-Elect Ben Bakeberg

Strong Families. Strong Communities. Strong Schools

Ben’s leadership and hard work ensured your voice was heard this session by:

  • Securing $9.1 million for Highway 169/282 interchange project in Jordan
  • Securing $500,000 to improve the boat ramps on Prior Lake and Spring Lake
  • Securing $4 million dollars for river bank stabilization in Shakopee
  • Passing bipartisan bill to address attendance and truancy in schools

Literacy Day 2024

Message from Ben

Despite a $17.5 billion budget surplus, Minnesotans’ taxes were raised by nearly $10 billion.

I do not take the responsibility lightly to serve the people of Prior Lake, Jordan, Jackson Township, Louisville Township, Sand Creek Township, Spring Lake Township and a portion of Shakopee at the capitol in St. Paul. I will continue to champion reasonable and common sense solutions to the issues we in 54B face.

My role as a representative has given me a front row seat to how the divisive political climate has hurt students and families.  It will be a privilege to continue to bring my strong conservative voice and common sense approach to represent our  House district 54B.

Building Blocks for Learning Initiative

Building Blocks of Learning Initiative

Far too many laws are passed today that might make us feel good, but really miss the mark in making significant and lasting change. Over the past eight years, we’ve lost more than 35% of our family childcare providers, costs have risen dramatically, reimbursement rates remain below the cost of care, and childcare remains unaffordable to many families.

This pension proposal will provide a full benefit for teachers creating the first instance of an actual rule for career tier 2 teachers at 62 with 30 years of service. Last session, the Governor, along with the majority in the House and Senate, did not support the necessary public investments for teacher pensions.

Building Minnesota

Legislation that supported investments in our local community’s infrastructure needs including roads, bridges, clean water, parks, and supporting our hard-working-blue-collar men and women.
